Collector’s Notes
This card is the Reverse Holo version of the common Pikachu from Clay Burst. While the delightful urban artwork by OKACHEKE is the same, this card is distinguished by its holographic finish. The art itself is non-holo, but the entire card body around it is covered in a beautiful, glittering “pixel” or “block” holographic pattern that is the signature of the Scarlet & Violet TCG era. This treatment makes a common card a much more desirable find for collectors.
As the official Museum Mascot, this card’s urban setting provides a fantastic geological link. The city is a modern human quarry, built from concrete (made from limestone and aggregates), steel (from iron ore), and asphalt (a petroleum product). This Pikachu isn’t just flying through a city; it’s flying through a landscape of refined geological materials. This special Reverse Holo version, with its sparkling, pixelated finish, adds a layer of digital-age energy to this modern geological environment.
